- Power-e-com actively engages with financial institutions, digital platform providers for crowdfunding, and policymakers.
- Collaboration with policymakers is crucial as they develop the legislative framework and incentive structures for energy communities.
- The project fosters knowledge exchange, drawing on best practices from neighboring countries like Greece.
Challenges and Opportunities:
- While the RED II Directive has been transposed into Bulgarian legislation, the regulatory framework for energy communities remains immature.
- A key challenge lies in raising awareness and promoting the concept among the Bulgarian public.
- Power-e-com aims to shift the focus beyond just economic benefits, highlighting the potential environmental and social advantages of energy communities.
