This article summarises the key content of Deliverable D4.2 “Leaflet on energy community models in partners’ languages,” produced under Work Package 4 of the POWER-E-COM project. The full document is available for download in five languages below.
Deliverable D4.2 presents the results of Work Package 4 in an accessible, public-facing format. It documents the 30 energy community business models developed by POWER-E-COM partners across six countries: Austria, Bulgaria, Germany, Ireland, Slovenia, and Spain.
Each model was developed using an adapted CANVAS methodology specifically tailored for energy communities. The process involved three stages: conceptual design, stakeholder socialisation – where models were shared and discussed with local stakeholders and refined based on their input – and finalisation of the business model as a blueprint for real-world implementation in Work Package 5.
The leaflet covers five energy community models per country, presenting key information on community type, legal structure, planned renewable energy installations, expected environmental and social benefits, and indicative investment and revenue figures. The 30 models span a wide range of approaches, from district heating cooperatives and solar PV communities to aggregator models and cross-municipal energy associations.
To make the results accessible to citizens and stakeholders in each partner country, the leaflet was published in five languages: Bulgarian, English, German, Slovenian and Spanish.
