The 29 April 2025 an insightful webinar on the development of renewable energy communities in Europe has been organized, providing an overview of energy communities in both continental Europe and small Mediterranean islands, showcasing examples at different stages of development—from established projects to early-stage initiatives. Practical case studies and key knowledge reports offered valuable insights.
Additionally, the webinar explored in detail the national energy community contexts of Austria, Spain, Croatia, Italy, and Greece, and participants were also introduced to the European Energy Communities Facility, a new initiative supporting energy communities across Europe by offering funding and capacity-building opportunities.
